AS Level Assessments and Predicted Grades
At Excellent Academy, we understand how important the AS Level year is in shaping a student’s academic journey. Typically taken at the end of Year 12, AS Level exams play a key role in helping students—and their teachers—understand current performance and future potential.
While many of these assessments are internal (designed by the school rather than external exam boards), they are incredibly valuable. Not only do they measure progress at the halfway point of A Level studies, but they also serve as the foundation for predicted grades—a crucial component in university and apprenticeship applications.
The Importance of Predicted Grades
Predicted grades are teacher assessments of what a student is expected to achieve in their final A Level exams. These forecasts carry weight: universities, through UCAS, and many employers rely on them when evaluating applicants—often months before the actual exams take place. This makes performance during the AS Level year especially significant.
At Excellent Academy, we take this process seriously. We assess each student’s progress fairly and provide realistic yet encouraging predicted grades that reflect their academic efforts and abilities. Our goal is to ensure every learner is represented accurately and positively when applying for higher education or entering the workforce.
Supporting Every Step of the Way
We’re proud to support our students beyond the classroom. From helping with AS Level studies to guiding them through the complexities of university and apprenticeship applications, we’re with them every step of the way. At Excellent Academy, we’re not just preparing students for exams—we’re preparing them for life.
